This is my genealogy blog and web site, including some blog entries originally posted at Doctroidal Dissertations and some genealogical information originally posted at Journal of Doctroidal Research. It reflects my main genealogical interest, which is and long has been my Holmes line — going via Nathan Holmes of Montville, New London County, Connecticut and Hamilton, Madison County, New York around 1800 back to John Holmes of Plymouth Colony in the 1600s and from there into Essex, England another hundred or so years — and, going forward again, other descendants of Nathan Holmes. Then again, I do spend some time on my other lines and post about them occasionally.
